HTA Landscape Training Award

The HTA Landscape Award is a distance learning package which has been designed to give domestic landscapers the underpinning knowledge which supports the skills they use on a daily basis.

Will Dann Delivered through a workbook, the Landscape Training Award offers a high level of flexibility, with the learner working through the material at their own pace. Businesses should expect to support their participating staff by providing a mentor to support and encourage them as they continue their studies.

The HTA Landscape Award is divided into seven modules.

Module 1 – Customer Service
Module 2 – Personal Skills
Module 3 – Health and Safety
Module 4 – Vehicles and Machinery
Module 5 – Hard Landscaping
Module 6 – Establishing and Maintaining Plants
Module 7 – Ponds and Water Gardening

The award is assessed by a written test, and a practical assessment. The written test contains two sections – multiple choice questions and short answer questions. The practical assessment is based on a diary which has been completed within the workplace.

The Landscape Award provides an excellent opportunity for landscapers to demonstrate their commitment to training to their employers and their customers.
