About the HTA >

Committees

Members' needs are identified through a number of committees representing different sectors of membership.

The HTA works hard to identify and address the needs of its members.  A number of committees and groups of members from the different sectors of membership work to this end.  These groups meet regularly throughout the year to discuss current issues, the state of trade, challenges facing the sector and to agree what members and the HTA can do to tackle these challenges whether they be political, business, market or environmental.  Each group develops its own Strategy and Action Plan which is available to download.

All group members are there to represent their sectors.  HTA members that want to feed into these groups are encouraged to make contact with these representatives to ensure they reflect the views of the membership.  Some of the groups also operate a ‘virtual’ membership where members can opt-in to receive the email communication within the group, without attending meetings.
