Battery Regulations
England and Wales - ScotlandThe Battery Regulations place new requirements on Distributors/Sellers of Batteries.
If you sell portable batteries you will have to allow consumers to return waste batteries free of charge to all your retail outlets from 1 February 2010.
The HTA has made special arrangements with Battery Compliance Scheme ERP UK Ltd for Battery collection boxes to be delivered free of charge to any Member that sells more than 32Kg of portable batteries per year. When full these will be collected free of charge by ERP.
To order your Battery Collection Box please fill in the details on the attached spreadsheet at the bottom of the page and e-mail to: nick.purser@erp-recycling.org
Your collection Box (es) will be delivered within 15 working days.
