Dianthus Memories takes top honours at HTA National Plant Show

Sponsored by ProVar the awards attracted an amazing 93 entries and were judged by an expert panel of five consisting of renowned plantsman Roy Lancaster, editor of BBC Gardeners World Magazine Adam Pasco, plant development expert Gary Greuber, HTA president Caroline Owen and HTA technical adviser David Gilchrist.

Chair of Judges David Gilchrist comments, “We have been delighted by both the number and standard of entries this year with 40 awards being made in total. Both the quality of plants and their presentation has been exceptional – a great showcase for UK plant production. The judges have been particularly impressed by the range of plants on show.”

He adds, “There were many strong contenders for the ‘Best in Show’ but Dianthus Memories with its many attributes stood out. A photogenic classic cottage garden plant with superb scent that is easy to grow, propagate and manage – some of the qualities that helped it steal the show.”
